The COVID19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown severely affected business activities pan-India. The country’s once vibrant startup community was especially battered by this unexpected and unprecedented calamity. According to a Nasscom survey around 40% of Indian startups have either shut down their business temporarily or are on the verge of doing so.
As the highest valued startup in India currently, and a true-blue Indian company, Paytm believes in promoting the country’s pioneering startup ecosystem. Keeping this belief in perspective, it has been steadily working towards helping its peers find viable solutions to their business challenges.
It launched the ‘Paytm – Build for India’ initiative in 2017 to promote the culture of grass root innovation in India and catalyse the startup ecosystem. Over the past three and half years, this enterprise successfully mentored thousands of budding startup founders across the country. It organized virtual meetups for enterprising entrepreneurs, set up an ‘Indian Open Source Project Incubator’ and also shared valuable insights through startup blogs.
Considering the current scenario in the country, ‘Paytm – Build for India’ is delighted to announce the next step of this journey – the ‘Paytm – Build for India Knowledge Series’. This Knowledge series in the form of webinars aims to bring the best practices of the industry specially for startups. This Knowledge series will have speakers from Paytm leadership team as well as renowned startup investors. There will be a live Q&A session after every webinar, where anyone can ask their doubts directly to the speaker panel.
Over the next few weeks, ‘Paytm – Build for India’ will host one webinar every Wednesday from 4 pm to 5 pm. These weekly webinars for startups will include topics like:
- Product management
- Monetization through subscriptions
- Building online marketplaces
- Startup growth
