The year 2018 has been all about making it easier for you to run your business with Paytm. From instant sign up, to additional ways of accepting payments, to more control over when your money comes to your bank, we have introduced a bunch of pioneering features for our merchant partners.
Here’s a quick recap of what we launched this year –
1. Mobile number payments straight to bank: Some of our QR Merchants often end up accepting payments on their mobile number via Paytm. This amount would previously stay in their Paytm Wallet but now with just a toggle in the ‘Accept Payment Settings’ in your Business with Paytm app, they can automatically transfer this money to their bank account directly.
2.Order QR Sticker for store: We always encourage our partners to display the Paytm QR code prominently in their store. Ideally next to the cash/checkout counter so your customers can pay easily. In case you don’t have a sticker or your existing sticker isn’t very clear, you can simply order a new QR sticker via ‘Account Settings’ in the Business with Paytm app.
3.Request payment from customers after service delivery: Very often you need to collect payment from customers who are not in your store. For example, a chemist sends medicines for home delivery and needs to take money from customer who is at home. We introduced Payment Links for all such cases in the Business with Paytm app. Some our merchants can now create a new link by adding amount and small description, share it via SMS, Chat or Email to customer who can simply pay by clicking on the link in the message using their Paytm app. You get a notification as soon as the customer has paid.
This is another step to ensure you can accept payments everywhere with Paytm. Payment links are being gradually rolled out to all merchant partners.
4.Faster, smarter Business with Paytm app: The Business with Paytm app underwent a major transformation this year. We focused on features you care about as a business and ensured you get to do those features faster. We also added some new of them to the app –
- Change payout bank account: If you wish to start transferring payments automatically to a new bank account, you can do it. Some of our merchants can now simply change their bank details in Account Settings.
- Additional payment notification: If you have multiple cashiers in your store or you want payment success SMSs to be sent to additional numbers, you can now add secondary mobile numbers and email IDs via the app. This is extremely helpful if the primary account holder is not present in the store all the time.
- Add new QR Codes: If you want to track payments separately from all counters in your retail store, you can create multiple QR codes from the Business with Paytm app, this feature is available to some our merchants now.
5.Help always at hand: We have put together most frequently asked questions available in multiple languages (Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Malayalam, Telugu) in the Need Help section of the app. You can also visit our blog here https://business.paytm.com/blog/ and see the FAQ section.
