Before getting started, you should generate API keys with Paytm before the integration process. Here is how you can generate API keys:

  • Log in to the Paytm dashboard.
  • Select the API Keys under the ‘Developers’ tab from the Menu bar on the left side.
  • Select the mode for which you want to generate the API Key.
  • Click ‘Generate now’ to generate a key for the test mode. To go for the live mode, merchants will have to first activate the account by submitting documents, and then generate the key by clicking the ‘Generate now’ button. [Note: You have to generate separate API Keys for the test and live modes. No money is deducted from your account in test mode.]
  • You will get the merchant ID and merchant key in response to the above. Please make a note of these to be used further.

Here is a step-by-step guide to get started with Paytm Payment Gateway:

To begin the Zoho integrations process, you must log in to your Zoho account. If you have more than one Zoho store, you need to login to the store with which you wish to integrate Paytm Payment Gateway.

Step 1: Once you log in to the Zoho account, you will see the Account screen.

Step 2: Click the ‘Menu’ icon on the top left corner of the screen, and select ‘Subscriptions’. This will open the Zoho Subscription Dashboard.

Step 4: A new screen will appear to set up payment gateways. Choose Paytm Payment Gateway and click on the ‘Set Up Now’ button at the bottom.

Step 5: On the next page, you will have to fill in your Merchant ID and Merchant Key, which you had created in the beginning. You can refer to the Merchant Dashboard for these details.

Step 6: After entering these details, click on the ‘Save’ button. You will see a green colour text that says ‘ACTIVE’ next to Account Details. This means that your account is integrated with Zoho.

Please note: It is important to complete the KYC process since all the settlements will be on hold until the documentation is complete and verified.

To complete the KYC process, you need to verify your account and the nature of business.
