Paytm Pledges Support to Karnataka’s Startup Ecosystem at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022

Paytm Signs MoU with Karnataka Innovation & Technology Society (KITS) at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022

The 25th edition of Bengaluru Technology Summit, the annual tech exposition hosted by the Karnataka Government, was held from November 16-18, 2022. Our team at Paytm had three days full of memorable interactions with budding startups.

Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Basavaraj Bommai, too made a gracious visit to Paytm’s booth.

The last day of the event marked the launch of a booster kit by the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) in collaboration with various industry leaders, including Paytm, to provide free services to help startups expedite growth.

This initiative intends to promote firms registered with the Karnataka Startup Cell by fostering entrepreneurship and creating a thriving ecosystem.

Paytm signed the MOU with KITS on November 18, 2022, pledging its support in offering convenient banking and fintech services for starting and running businesses and credits for website hosting.

Under this landmark agreement, the Paytm Incubation Centre (PIC) will offer mentorship to 9000+ startups registered under the Karnataka Startup Cell along with subsidised access to Paytm for Business products such as Paytm Payment Gateway, Paytm Ads, Paytm Deals, Gift Vouchers, and Paytm mLoyal.

I am here to introduce the Paytm Incubation Center (PIC) – an initiative by Paytm, where we extend our support to the startup ecosystem.

Startups, in the beginning, face multiple challenges, such as financial challenges, customer acquisition-related challenges, brand building, and much more. Hence, Paytm came up with an exclusive program where we offer 360-degree tech solutions, which include payment gateway, EDC machines, POS solutions, and other digital solutions to all the startups.

To conclude, I would say that the growth is yours, but Paytm will do its best to support you to achieve it.”
